Where Light Finds the Canyon opens across the Grand Canyon as warm sunlight reaches distant temples beneath a sweeping sky.
Sunlit stone in the foreground leads into a vast succession of mesas, ravines, and atmospheric layers. Soft cloud bands stretch over the horizon while isolated formations glow in orange and gold, creating a visual path through the immense blue-gray distance.
The title describes the photograph’s defining event: light moving selectively through the canyon. It does not illuminate everything at once, but finds particular cliffs and ridges, briefly revealing their form within the greater landscape.
